We have a 3 day pass to Disneyland, but w/ children we plan on taking a day off in between going to give them a rest. We are hoping to go to Goofy's Kitchen on the day we don't go to the theme park. Is that okay since it is at the hotel & not the park?

    Hello Eric,

Thank you for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Planning a vacation to the Disneyland Resort is such an exciting and magical experience!

I think you have a good plan set forth by taking a day off in between your park days. You will be fine to enjoy a meal at Goofy's Kitchen located at Disneyland Hotel. This is one of my favorite Character meals to dine at, the Disney Characters tend to be a little zany here and the buffet is delicious.

I also recommend utilizing this day to take in the Downtown Disney District. Often times, so many of us are in the hustle and bustle of getting to the parks that we power walk right through the Downtown Disney District without enjoying the many stores, restaurants, or even catch the latest show at the AMC Downtown Disney 12 Theatres. Best of all there is no admission charge to enjoy the Downtown Disney District! My littles love The LEGO Store and Build-A-Bear Workshop. My personal favorite shop is Disney Vault 28. I love how the Downtown Disney District comes alive with local musicians displaying their talents at different parts of the promenade.

When we take a break from the parks, we also like to relax by our hotel pool. This is always a lot of fun for the whole family. For us, it ends up being the only day we aren't rushing in our room to get ready; it's nice to be able to enjoy your room during your vacation.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
