I have 2- 1 day, 1 park tickets. They are dated, so I cannot make a reservation. How can I guarantee that the parks I want to go to won't be at capacity with no reservation? I am going during what I understand to be a very busy time.

    Hey there, Brandis!

You are going to visit Walt Disney World during an extraordinary time! Who wouldn't want to ring in the new year surrounded by our favorite Disney pals? That feels like such an invitation for wonder and imagination to fill your 2025. I love this for you!

Generally, through the combination of Theme Park Reservations and dated theme park admission tickets, Guests can expect availability for your big day of excitement. Unfortunately, it just can't be guaranteed. If a theme park reaches capacity, as it historically has on New Year's Eve, Cast Members will need to make the difficult decision to restrict entry.

I know you were hoping for a way to find that sure thing, and I am sorry that I can't provide it. I do have some advice for how to have the best chance to welcome the new year at your theme park of choice:

    1. When it comes to the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, the early bird gets the worm. Plan to wake with the roosters and, as Elsa would say, "Tell the guards to open up the gaaaaate." (Ok, that's a little dramatic. Wave as the friendly Cast Members welcome you through the magical gates.)

    2. Plan to stay for the whole day. Even if you enjoy the morning in the theme park, if you head back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room for a little afternoon break (which is my usual recommendation), you might find that capacity was reached while you were gone. In that case, you would need to change plans.

    3. Be sure to pack snacks, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle for a long day in the beautiful central Florida sun. You will need to keep your energy up!

    4. Be flexible! There are so many ways to enjoy this special time. If your first choice of theme park is not available, maybe check out another experience. You never know; perhaps something you hadn't even considered might end up becoming a treasured memory. We actually love to catch fireworks from a Resort hotel pool or beach area! (Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are excellent options for a holiday stay for this very reason!)

I hope that was helpful! Please let us know if you need any other suggestions. planDisney is here for you!
