Hi Cynthia! Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I recently purchased our first Annual Pass, and between the discounts, PhotoPass downloads, and free parking, it has been a great investment for our family.
Cynthia, as you know, you may
upgrade your 7-day Park Hopper pass to an Annual Pass either in-person at a Theme Park ticket window, a
Guest Relations location, or via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Please remember that any ticket upgrades must occur within 14 days of the tickets first use. While the outright purchase of an annual pass would require an in-person trip to activate the pass, an upgrade can be done solely through the app as your tickets are already active. While it is not strictly necessary, I do always recommend to upgrade tickets in-person. This will ensure that you are getting the best Annual Pass to fit your needs while also making sure that your upgrade has been processed correctly. As an additional benefit of an in-person upgrade, you will receive the physical cards and a book detailing all of the Passholder discounts and benefits!
