Welcome to planDisney, Nathan! It’s great to see you thinking ahead as you fine-tune the rest of your Disneyland adventure. With a 3-day Park Hopper ticket, it’s nice to know you still have flexibility if your plans need a little adjusting after that first visit.
The short answer is yes, you can absolutely change the date of your second visit, as long as there is
theme park reservation availability for the new date you’d like. Theme park reservations are required for each visit day, but they aren’t locked in permanently. If something shifts in your schedule, you’re welcome to modify or cancel an existing reservation and select a new one, provided it’s available for your ticket type.
To make an update, sign in to your
MyDisney account and navigate to the My Plans section. From there, you’ll see your upcoming theme park reservations listed. Choose the reservation you want to adjust and follow the steps to change or cancel it. Once your new date is confirmed, you’ll receive an updated confirmation email. Before making any changes, it’s a good idea to check the theme park reservation availability calendar and filter by your specific ticket type, just to be sure you’re seeing the most accurate options.
If changing your visit date means compressing your plans or rearranging how you spend your time,
Lightning Lane Multi Pass can be a helpful tool to consider. It’s designed to give you more flexibility and help you experience more attractions without feeling rushed. One of the features I especially appreciate is that with a Park Hopper ticket, you can book Lightning Lane return times across both theme parks right from the
Disneyland app, even if you start your day in
Disneyland Park and plan to hop over to
Disney California Adventure Park later. It’s a simple way to keep your day flowing smoothly.
Should your visit fall in February, you’ll also be arriving during the
Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure. This seasonal event adds an extra layer of magic, with vibrant décor, festive entertainment, and limited-time food and beverage offerings inspired by Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisines. Many Guests enjoy using a
Sip and Savor Pass to sample several dishes, then taking a relaxing break near Paradise Bay before heading off to their next adventure.
Nathan, I hope this helps you feel confident about updating your plans and knowing what to expect if you need to change that second visit date. If more questions come up as you finalize your schedule, we’re always happy to help here at planDisney.
Have an incredible day filled with magical moments!
