Hi Kristen! Welcome back to planDisney. It’s great to hear from you again!
Walt Disney World has many magical nicknames, but did you know that it’s also known as “The Happiest Place on Turf!” My husband is an avid golfer who has played all the Disney courses over the years. I still remember a trip when we stayed in a Deluxe Studio at the Polynesian Villas, and we had to navigate around his golf bag in our room! I can completely understand your desire to store your clubs during your stay.
I contacted the Clubhouse at
Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, which also serves
Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, and they confirmed that guests with tee times are welcome to store their clubs overnight. If you’d like to double-check before your visit, you can give them a call at (407) 939-4653. The clubhouse also offers complimentary locker rooms and showers, with locker keys available from the Pro Shop. If you’re flying, another option to consider is Disney’s
club and shoe rentals. My husband and sons have used this service on trips where they didn’t want to haul clubs through the airport, and they’ve been impressed with the quality every time.
Regarding Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, it’s currently undergoing an exciting redesign, including elevated greens, new teeing grounds, recontoured Bermuda grass greens, and even new Disney-themed hole names paired with quotes from Walt Disney and Arnold Palmer. The Mickey Mouse Bunker on the 6th hole is still one of the course’s most iconic features. Keep in mind that holes 15 and 16 are being shortened temporarily as finishing touches are completed. To compensate, Disney is offering a discount during this phase of construction.
As for Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, this 9-hole walking course is ideal for beginners and families, thanks to its manageable layout and relaxed atmosphere. The Mickey-shaped bunker behind the 9th green is a fun photo opportunity as well. Since your 10-day tickets have the
Park Hopper Plus Option, you’ll have 10 “Plus Visits,” which give you a certain number of visits to a water park or other Walt Disney World fun including a round of golf at Oak Trail.
I hope your trip is a hole in one, Kristen! Feel free to stop by with any more questions as you plan.
