On day one of our upcoming trip my family is going to HS before checking in at our resort. Do I have to check in at my resort and receive a parking pass or can my magic band be scanned at the park parking proving that I am staying at a Disney Resort?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Loree! I’m so excited to know that you have a Holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in the works! Thanks for coming back to see us with your planning question.

You’re spot on! You can use your MagicBand at the parking entrance to prove that you are a guest at a Disney Resort Hotel, even before you actually check in. My family and I have done this a couple of times when we know we’ll be arriving to Orlando before our hotel check in time. The Cast Member will simply scan your band and you’ll be good to go! It’s so nice to be able to enjoy the benefits of being a Disney Resort hotel guest, before actually setting foot in your room!

Other than the fun seasonal activities at the Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot, there are some fun new events to keep an eye on for your upcoming visit. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park presents the Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale at DinoLand U.S.A. Pandora- The World of Avatar, is also joining in on the holiday cheer at Pongu Pongu, where you can get fun beverages served up, with a touch of the Holidays!

Loree, I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions before your trip. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
