We want to take a day off from the parks and enjoy some resort activities. We will be checking out of the Polynesian Resort and moving over to Boardwalk. What suggestions do you have for fun things we could do at either resort? Thank you,

Hello, Kuleen! One of my favorite things to plan for my Walt Disney World vacations is where my family and I will eat. You are in luck, because both of the Disney Resort hotels that you have selected for your vacation offer many excellent dining options on-site! Whether you choose to spend your day relaxing by Seven Seas Lagoon or trying out all of the fun recreation options at both hotels, the first thing that you should plan is where (and when) you are going to fit in your meals. I'd like to suggest a big Tonga Toast breakfast at Kona Cafe to start your day. This filling treat will provide you with some much needed energy for the active day ahead!

There are many recreation and entertainment options at both Disney Resort hotels -- you can plan some active outdoor outings, enjoy unique shopping opportunities, and even find time to take it easy by the white-sand beaches of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The choice is up to you!

If you choose to do something active, consider renting a boat to explore Seven Seas Lagoon before you leave Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The resort offers a nice variety of motorized boat rentals that you can choose from to accommodate your interests. After you have finished zipping through the water, stop by Pineapple Lanai to pick up a Dole Whip. You can enjoy this tangy treat in the tranquil island atmosphere of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

At Disney's BoardWalk, you can take a leisurely ride on a Surrey bike, play some carnival-style games, and enjoy one of the many delicious dining options as you watch the sun set on your practically perfect Disney day. If you aren't completely exhausted by dinner time, I'd recommend a visit to the nearby Fantasia Gardens and Fairways to enjoy a round of miniature golf.

I hope that you have a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Kuleen! If you have any additional questions before your trip, please stop back by the Moms Panel. We would love to hEAR from you!
