We have a 5 day military ticket and a party of five. Do we still have to go to guest services and activate tickets with our military IDs or can we go straight to the turnstiles?

    Hi Joe!

Welcome to planDisney, and from all of us, thank you for your family's service! Disney Military Salute Tickets do need to be activated before heading to the turnstiles at the theme park entrances. Visit Guest Relations to activate them, or by visiting the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I prefer the Disney Springs location (and usually activate the day before) because the lines tend to be shorter, and it gives us the excuse to make a dining reservation and get some souvenir shopping done. While activating, be sure to ask about the military rate for Memory Maker! If you have military Magic Your Way tickets, you can head straight to the entrances. Both ticket types also require Theme Park Reservations, make sure those are made in advance!

The holiday season has arrived at Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope you and your family enjoy the Yuletide splendor! Disney Springs features a magical Christmas Tree Stroll that is a fun family activity, and Santa Claus has arrived from the North Pole to greet Guests at Santa's Marketplace, near Disney's Pin Traders. You can join the Virtual Queue to say hi by using your My Disney Experience Mobile app. Be sure to stop by The Ganachery or Gideon's Bakehouse and pick up some sweet treats to enjoy during your visit!

Joe, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a magical vacation!

    Happy Holidays!
