    so on the day that i leave, is there a place to stash my luggage at the polynesian after i check out. my flight isn't til later and would like to spend the day in the parks without my luggage.

    Absolutely. Just bring your bags to the Bell Services desk at the Polynesian. They will tag your bags, give you a receipt, and then store your bags in a secure area at the hotel. When you're ready to head home, just give the receipt to a Bell Services cast member and he or she will return your bags to you. I end up doing this on almost every Disney vacation and have never had any problems at all.
