Welcome to planDisney, Marjorie! I’m happy to see that you have a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort in the works! Thanks for sending us your question.
I think it’s a great idea to visit the theme parks with your family! You will be able to buy
Florida Resident theme park tickets for yourself and any grandchildren under the age of 18. Any other guests who visit with you over the age of 18, who live out of the state of Florida, would need to purchase a regular theme park ticket.
Florida Resident theme park tickets can be purchased online or in person. Then those tickets need to be activated before their first use, by showing
Proof of Florida Residency at any ticket window at the theme parks or the
Disney Springs Guest Services location.
Marjorie, you can always book a stay at a
Disney Resort hotel and take advantage of
Special Offers for Florida Residents. Your family is welcome to stay with you!
After purchasing your theme park tickets, you can link them to your
My Disney Experience account and make your
Disney Park Pass Reservations. You can check the
availability calendar ahead of time, to make sure your desired dates are open, for the parks you would like to visit.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to come back to see us. For tips from the planDisney family, you can also view our
Panel Extras. We really enjoy helping you with all the details of your next
magical visit!
