What day during the week is the best time to go to each individual theme park?

    Hi Teresa,

I like to use www.touringplans.com to judge expected crowds and wait times for my Disney World vacations. The site uses a variety of information like previous attendance, holidays and special events to create a crowd calendar for each individual calendar date as well as a general guide for the days of the week.

Based on their information, the best days to attend each park are:
    • Magic Kingdom-Tuesday
    • Epcot-Wednesday
    • Hollywood Studios-Saturday
    • Animal Kingdom-Friday
    • Water Parks-Saturday

Typically Sunday is a very busy day at the parks as many families arrive at some point on Saturday and begin their park visits on Sunday. Surprisingly we have found that with families using Saturday as a travel day, the parks tend to be less crowded on this weekend day then you would expect.

Based on this same information, the crowds are expected at their highest on these days:

    • Magic Kingdom-Thursday
    • Epcot-Tuesday
    • Hollywood Studios-Friday
    • Animal Kingdom-Monday
    • Water parks-Thursday

Of course this is just a guide and there is no definite way of knowing where the guests will head, so a park hopper option on your pass is always a good choice. This option would allow you to move (or hop) to a different park if the crowds increase more than you expected. Hope this helps!
