    In this day of Debit Cards.. what is the preferred way to carry money? I know it is a personal choice.. but I can't decide if I should do the old fashioned cash, traveler's checks , or just put the money in my account and charge everything or the debt?

    Hi, Jone!  I advocate carrying around as little as possible that would have to be replaced in the unfortunate case that a wallet should be lost.  So, I think that I would just use the debit card for the majority of the purchases.  There are times when you will need some cash (gratuities, for example), but for the most part, your debit card is a great choice.  Cash cannot be replaced, so I would only carry small amounts at a time.  I, personally, think traveler's checks are a hassle (although safer than cash when in large denominations because they can be replaced).  If you are staying on-site, there is an even better option.  I would link a credit or debit card to the Key to the World Card you will be issued at check-in. This card also acts as your room key, park tickets, and dining plan card, if applicable. I only carry Disney's Key to the World Card with me.  You can settle the account before you leave from home and owe nothing on a credit card.  This keeps your credit/debit card in the room (there is a safe), requiring only one transaction at the end of your trip.  In fact, if there are no questions about the charges, you don't even have to visit Guest Services.  The charge will be made to the card you have linked to the Key to the World Card.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
