Welcome aboard, Tammy! I love sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew anytime of the year, but fall is a favorite time because we get to escape the dropping temperatures back home and head south for a warm and wonderful adventure!
The
dining attire on your three night sailing on the Disney Dream will include two Cruise Casual Nights (one of which is Pirate Night) and one Optional Dress Up Night. The official Formal and Semi-Formal Nights take place on the longer sailings. That being said, when my family and I sail on the shorter cruises, we take full advantage of the opportunity to dress up for that night and enjoy the atmosphere. It certainly makes for some fabulous photos and memories you'll always have!
Pirate Night is the best! If you want to go all out bring along pirate costumes or at least pirate accessories to get into the swashbuckling spirit of the night. Mickey and his pals will be out and about in their pirate gear, as will your dining servers at dinner and most other guests. Pirate-themed dinner, games, and of course the big Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party and Buccaneer Blast Fireworks at Sea will round out the night for all your scallywags! Don't miss all the fun!
You'll have warm summer-like weather in Nassau and Castaway Cay this November. The averages for that time of year are upper 70's to low 80's, which to me is simply the perfect weather! We enjoy swimming both onboard and on the islands when we sail in the fall. Do plan to pack a jacket or light sweater though, because it can get cooler and breezy at sea at night out on the deck. Plus, I always tend to get chilly in the theatre and restaurants, so keeping a sweater with me is a must!
Let us know if you have other questions as you continue to plan, Tammy!
