We are going on a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas at the end May. Does my 8 year old need a passport or can we use his birth certificate (with raised seal)?

    Ahoy Jennifer!
May is one of my favorite months to set sail on a magical voyage!  With only a few weeks to go, you will be hearing the words "Welcome Aboard" very soon!
Disney Cruise Line does recommend passports, but since your cruise is closed loop (beginning and ending in the same U.S. port) birth certificates are accepted.
I hope this helps, Jennifer!  If you have any other last minute questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
