Ahoy, Monica!
Thank you for sending in another great question about your upcoming cruise to
The Bahamas! I know you are ready to soak in as much pixie dust as you can on your journey this weekend. The Disney Dream is truly a floating destination with more
onboard activities that I can name! The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your go-to guide to all the magical fun onboard, so be sure to have it downloaded before you set sail. It's free to use even while your mobile device is in airplane mode. You will have access to every event planned, dining menus, deck plans, onboard texting, and much more! As you see events that interest you, tap the heart icon to mark it as a favorite, and you'll receive a reminder before it begins. The app even works on Castaway Cay!
The Cruise Staff does an incredible job of offering a variety of activities for Guests of every age so you'll be able to experience as little or as much as you like! You can enjoy a thrilling ride on the
AquaDuck, catch one of the latest Disney movies in the
Buena Vista Theatre, indulge in a spa treatment at
Senses Spa and Salon or test your Disney trivia knowledge against fellow cruisers. So if you choose to stay onboard, the options are endless, but I do highly recommend experiencing
Castaway Cay from shore. There are
Port Adventures available, but this tropical oasis can be enjoyed in many different ways. The colorful umbrellas that line the beach provide the perfect amount of shade to relax while enjoying spectacular ocean views. And there's no need to head back to the ship to eat as Cookies BBQ provides a delicious lunch buffet on the island that has you licking your fingers it's so good! If your crew is more adventurous, you'll want to check out Pelican's Plunge! It's not only great fun to zip down these slides, but so refreshing on a warm day in The Bahamas!
Monica, it was a pleasure assisting you with your cruise plans! Bon Voyage!
