1)What day is the cheapest day to visit Disney World? 2)What are the requirements for Disneys Salute Program/Active Duty & Veterans program tickets? 3) How much are the Military tickets?

    Hi there, E-J!

Welcome to planDisney. From all of us on the Panel, thank you for your service! Typically, the least expensive time to visit Walt Disney World Resort is January through mid-February. Lots of Guests also find that visiting mid-August through early September is another inexpensive time to visit. The Disney Military Salute tickets are available for service members on active duty status, retired, or 100% disabled. Guests who qualify for Salute tickets can purchase them from Shades of Green Resort or the ITT/MWR office at their nearest military base. Salute tickets are available as 4, 5, or 6-day passes, and you can purchase them with Park Hopper, or Park Hopper Plus. The difference between the two is that with Park Hopper Plus, you will have a certain number of days to visit Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or participate in other activities (such as a round of miniature golf, FootGolf, or regular golf). Prices for Salute tickets are for ages 3+ (there are no Salute tickets for kids aged 3-9) are as follows (from the Shade of Green website, and are subject to change):

    • 4-Day Park Hopper: $365
    • 4-Day Park Hopper Plus: $395
    • 5-Day Park Hopper: $385
    • 5-Day Park Hopper Plus: $415
    • 6-Day Park Hopper: $399.75
    • 6-Day Park Hopper Plus: $435

Veterans who don't qualify for Salute tickets have the option of purchasing discounted Magic Your Way tickets, which are regular theme park tickets. You can purchase these also from Shades of Green or from your nearest military base. Like the Salute tickets, you have the option of purchasing them with Park Hopper, and Park Hopper Plus, or if you want base tickets, you can purchase these too.

For both ticket types, you will have to make Theme Park Reservations, which you can do once you link your tickets to the My Disney Experience mobile app. If you purchase Salute tickets, you will also need to activate them with your military ID at Guest Relations (located at all four theme parks), or at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.

E-J, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Please visit us again in the future if you need additional pixie dust planning your vacation!
