Welcome aboard, Melissa! Your are about to head off on one of my favorite types of vacations: A land and sea trip with Disney! The only thing better than setting sail with Disney Cruise Line is adding a day or two before or after the cruise at the Walt Disney World resort!
While I would normally highly recommend the Memory Maker for a guest's Walt Disney World vacation, you might not want to purchase that this time. Unfortunately, that is only valid for photos at the Walt Disney World Resort and not on the cruise ships. Unless you plan on taking a whole lot of photos during your one day at the parks, it's probably better to just purchase a picture or two individually if you take a great one in the parks.
On the ships, there is a similar photo system, where guests hand their Key To The World cards to the ship's photographers to link all photos to their stateroom. Then, you can stop by Shutters, the onboard photography shop, throughout the cruise to browse prints or digitally check out your pictures on one of the digital kiosks there. You can purchase a
cruise photo package including prints or a cd with different numbers of pictures on it while onboard the ship. This is different than in the parks in that guests will not have access online to those photos after disembarking the ship, so be sure to pick your favorites or purchase a package before you leave the ship!
Have fun as you plan the final parts of your trip, Melissa, and please stop back and let me know if you have any other questions before you set sail!
