Hi Theresa!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by with this question. I know that with so many requirements and rule changes throughout the past few years it can be hard to keep track of what is needed for different destinations.
Currently, the State of California
highly recommends that Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort be vaccinated, or have a negative test before visiting. As a registered nurse, I think testing before your visit is an excellent idea as well. But, at this time, it is
not required and you will not be asked to show proof of a negative test to enter the theme parks of the
Disneyland Resort. All Guests aged 2 and older are
required to wear a mask in all indoor locations at the Disneyland Resort such as shops, restaurants, and attractions. So be sure you have a mask for each child. I like to pack a few spares just in case one gets soiled or broken. I also pack a small container of hand sanitizer to use frequently. I hope this helps to answer your question and alleviate any concerns regarding the timing of doing a pre-visit test.
Wishing you a safe and magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, the Disneyland Resort!
