Anchors aweigh, Rachel!
Thanks for setting your compass to planDisney with your important question regarding
travel documents for your cruise. We are happy to help navigate your Disney Cruise Line planning!
An
Eastern Caribbean cruise with your daughters sounds delightful! You will have the best time exploring everything the ship offers and your adventures at each port of call. The crystal blue waters and the stunning island landscapes will have you wishing for one more day at sea.
Rachel, a closed-loop cruise (that is, a cruise that originates and ends at the same port) from a US port does not require a passport for US citizens. You need to provide and travel with an original or copy of your government-issued birth certificate AND a physical (not digital) government-issued photo ID. If your daughters are 15 years of age or younger, they are required to present their government-issued birth certificate but do not need to present a photo ID.
Other itineraries may require passports, so be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line website for more information if your future travels take you to other destinations. Disney Cruise Line
highly encourages Guests to travel with a valid passport in case of any unforeseen circumstances during their cruise that require changes to their travels. I also recommend checking the US State Department website for travel document updates.
If you plan to book
Port Adventures at any of your ports of call, make sure to mark your calendar for your
Booking Window opening date! There is so much to explore onboard
Disney Fantasy, your days at sea will be as relaxing or as exhilarating as you wish!
I hope this information clears up any confusion, Rachel. Please let us know if you have other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
