This is my daughters 1st trip to disney amd we are trting to get her excited. I have heard you can write to the character and recive a post card back. Is that still something that is happening in 2018?

    Dear Hallie,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great Walt Disney World countdown question!

Preparing a child for their first Walt Disney World Resort vacation can bring out the excitement in all of us! At this time, there is no method to write postcards to characters that can be autographed and sent back. If you have a friend who is going to Walt Disney World Resort before you are, you could ask them to have a character autograph a postcard and mail it to you from Main Street, U.S.A., for example! If you don't have anyone that you know who might be going there soon, there are lots of other ideas for a great Walt Disney World Resort countdown!

You could consider making a paper chain that has the number of days left until your trip, or use these fun templates from the Disney Parks Blog! If you take a look online, people have come up with some extremely unique and fun ways to count down to your trip!

Hope that helps a little bit with your magical planning! I know that your child's first trip will be absolutely magical for all of you!

Moms Panel tip: Be sure to pick up a "1st Visit" button when you arrive to the Walt Disney World Resort! Your child will be showered with attention and shared excitement!
