Hi, Moms! My daughters will be snorkeling with the sharks at Typhoon Lagoon in May. Can they bring their own snorkel, mask & fins (mild autism) so their equipment is familiar to them? Is there an extra charge for this experience?

Flippers or fins are not permitted at Typhoon Lagoon's Shark Reef attraction. You must swim across the water with bare feet or with foot-sized water shoes.

As for masks and snorkels, you are welcome to use your own equipment. When my children experienced Shark Reef, they used their own goggles and were much more comfortable with their own equipment than with the DIsney-provided masks we initially tried to use. You can read more about this HERE.

There is no additional charge for Shark Reef, it is included with the price of your regular Typhoon Lagoon admission.

    Have a great time!
