Ahoy Bridgid!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear you are embarking on your first Disney Cruise in May! I know you and your princess will have the most magical vacation on the spectacular Disney Dream! It will be a wonderful time for very special memories to be made between the two of you and your favorite Disney pals!
One thing you'll want to pay close attention to while aboard is the
Character Meet and Greet opportunities that will be sprinkled throughout each day. Although Disney Cruise Line has discontinued dropping items to be autographed at Guest Services, you can definitely bring along a photo mat to have signed at the meet and greets. My advice is to place your photo mat in one of those larger zip lock type bags with some colorful Sharpies, so it will stay protected while you carry it around to be signed. There are several ways to keep up-to-date with the characters including the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app that can be downloaded free for Apple and Android devices. Also, your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator will have a listing each day. There is Character information on the digital character board in the Grand Lobby Atrium that you can check periodically as well. Also, the Princess Gathering and the Anna and Elsa meet and greets do require tickets that can be picked up at the Port Adventures Desk on Deck 5, Midship on the first afternoon. The tickets are free, but you'll want to stop by as soon as possible since space is limited.
Thank you for continuing to use the Moms Panel, Bridgid! I hope you will cruise back by if you think of any additional questions!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
