My daughter's Girl Scout troop is planning a trip to DW in June from Tampa. It's 6 girls, 2 adults and a limited budget. The girls must have their own room(s) and can't share beds, per GS rules. Any tips to max the fun on a budget at a disney resort?

    Hi Cheryl,

What a great experience for the girls!  I would recommend the value resorts for the girls since everyone needs their own rooms.  They will be the least expensive rooms.

You can bring in food from home for breakfast such as cereal and pick up milk on-site.  You can also bring snacks into the park as well which can save you some money.  Also, you may want to have late lunches at the restaurants as it will be cheaper to eat there versus dinner.

For tickets, you can save money with Florida rates but you may have blackout dates.  The Walt Disney World website has a link for Florida residents: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/flresidents/floridaResidentsGate?id=FloridaResidentsGatePage  which can help you with ticket prices and options.

Also, mousesavers.com and allearsnet.com have some great tips and I use these when planning my trip.

So, start your research and book those rooms now as June is on the way!
