My daughter's friend currently works at WDW and would like to join us for some of our meals during our vacation but she doesn't know her work schedule. Is it ok to make the reservation for 4 but have only 3 show up if she is unable to attend due to work?

Hi, Terri! Isure do hope that your daughter's friend will be able to enjoy some of the dining Magic with you.  Yes, make the reservations including her.  It is easier to subtract a person than add a person to an Advance Dining Reservation.  If she can't join you because of work, then you have two options.  First, if you have the time, you should give Walt Disney World Dining a call at (407) WDW-DINE and let them know to subtract one from your Advance Dining Reservations.  That would free up a spot for others who are trying to make reservations.  It shouldn't take long, especially if you have your confirmation numbers handy.

Second, if there is ANY chance at all that she might join you at the last moment, you should leave things just as you have made the reservation.  When you show up for your reservations, just let the Cast Member at the check-in stand know that one of your party is not able to attend.  He/she will make the necessary adjustments.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
