This will be my daughters first big trip where we are going for more than a few days. We are staying at AoA for 7days/6nights. How big of a suitcase should she bring? She will be 5 when we go and has to have her own bag. What is the normal size for kids?

    Dear Kara,

Thank you for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about packing for your daughter, and congratulations on her first big trip! That's exciting!

With my children, I always bring one complete outfit for each day that we will be there, plus an extra outfit or two. I bring their swimsuits and a sweatshirt just in case! I also always bring a rain jacket for each child, a pair of sandals, and a pair of sneakers. I limit them each to one carry-on suitcase and I am able to fit all of that without a problem. Every family is different, though, so you may have different ideas about what you want to bring.

Is she interested in dressing up? If so, you'll want her princess dresses or any other dress-up that she likes.

If you have any issue and she runs out of clothes, there are laundry facilities available at Disney's Art of Animation Resort as well! Additionally, there are many opportunities to purchase a cute souvenir t-shirt or another item, so you'll never run out!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
