My daughter's birthday is December 21st. She will be six. What would be the advantage of her coming to the park on her birthday? (I have heard that she can get a free admission, as well as get her face painted) Do we need to bring her birth certificate?

Hi, Eric!  The What Will You Celebrate promotion at Walt Disney World ended at the end of 2009, and that was the year that you could gain free admission to any of the Walt Disney World theme parks on your birthday.  I had not heard anything about free face painting, so I did some checking around, and I can't find anyone who has any information about complimentary face painting connected with your birthday.

There are many ways to celebrate your birthday at Walt Disney World, and you don't have to come exactly on your birthday.  If you're celebrating, then Walt Disney World is celebrating with you!  Your daughter can get her name on a birthday button, available at Guest Services at any of the theme parks and at most of the hotel front desks.  When making your dining reservations, let them know you are celebrating a birthday.  There are sometimes special surprises at the restaurant for people celebrating a special occasion!

I hope your daughter has an absolutely magical brithday!
