Our Daughter's 10th Birthday is on the day we start our cruise. If we order the Birthday package does Disney decorate stateroom before arriving. We are going to purchase a cake. Should we have it in the room or at dinner?

    Ahoy, Jeremy!

My daughter and I both celebrated our birthdays aboard the beautiful Disney Dream earlier this month! We had two connecting staterooms and both were decorated when we arrived! It was so awesome to walk in and see all of the decorations!

The package has recently changed on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream. Now all of the decorations are magnetic and many of them are hanging from the ceiling! There was also a large magnetic Mickey hand holding a cake with candles on the inside door. We both also received a frame. I think this package is well worth the money!

You can order the Birthday Theme Cabin Decorations under the Gifts and Amenities tab on the Disney Cruise Line website. You have up until three days prior to sailing to do this, and it can be done by calling.

I would advise not worrying about a cake. If you have noted your daughter's birthday on your reservation, your dining team will definitely recognize this event (possibly multiple times). They will bring out a special birthday dessert at one of your meals and sing to her. You can also get her a special birthday button if you visit Guest Services to ask.

I hope your family has an amazing cruise and your daughter's birthday celebration is wonderful! Tell her I said "Happy Double Digits"!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
