Erendira – so great to have your question with us at planDisney!
Birthdays and the
Happiest Place on Earth go together as well as peanut butter and jelly. I think it is a great idea to celebrate your daughter’s one-year birthday at Disneyland Resort, and I have just the restaurant to recommend for the festivities.
Although there are tons of great
character dining experiences throughout the Disneyland Resort, I would recommend the
Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn for someone your daughter’s age. First, Minnie Mouse is the star of this character dining experience and a real treat for little ones to meet. Second, the
Baby Care Center is right next door to the restaurant. If your daughter needs a diaper change or some other quick baby-related need, you have all the amenities of the Baby Care Center within just a few steps. And lastly, as a mom to a young kiddo myself, you have only so many hours of alertness with them before they inevitably need a nap. Dining inside
Disneyland Park, close to Fantasyland, will maximize your time, as you can quickly leave breakfast and hop on rides that your daughter is sure to love, such as my favorite dark ride,
Peter Pan’s Flight.
And later on during the afternoon, if you’re looking for a dessert, I love everything and anything that can be purchased at the
Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen, but I’m also an even bigger fan of the
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. You cannot go wrong with either choice, especially when young ones are involved!
Have fun and a big, early happy birthday to your daughter.
Best wishes,
Lola
