Hey Howdy Hey Katie and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that is for your daughter to have the opportunity to celebrate her friend's birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort. That will be such a great experience for both of them, but it sounds like we have to talk specifics with her
My Disney Experience account. Not to worry Katie, you have a friend in me to give you the details.
Since your daughter is younger than 13, she currently is not eligible to manage her own My Disney Experience account. This typically is managed by the parents or guardians. As long as you are the one managing her profile, the next step would be making sure her friend's parents are on your family and friends list. Log into your account and go to "My Family & Friends List". If they are listed great, if not there is an option on the top right of the screen to "Add a Guest". Click on that and then follow the steps to search for and add her friend's parents.
Once you are connected with their parents, you should see their profiles show up in your family and friends list. To the far right of their name, you will see a button for "Settings" which you will click on. You should see an option to "Allow (parents name) to make plans for your managed profiles" and a button to connect. Once you move through the steps to connect, double-check your work by going to your daughter's name and selecting the "Settings" button. You should see that the parent's name is listed as someone who can manage your daughter's plans and photos with two options that should be greened in. As long as those options are green, they should be all set!
These steps should be easy to move through, but in case technology does not play nicely, you can always feel free to
call Disney and speak with a Cast Member about your situation. They will be able to get things done quickly.
I hope your daughter has an amazing time with her friend at her upcoming birthday celebration. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Ride like the wind,
Nick
