Our daughter will be 2years and 10 months old when we arrive in DW on 12/19, my husband and I were wondering what dinner show would be best, Mickey's BBQ, Sp of Aloha, or Hoop De Doo? We would appreciate any advice on our planning, it is her 1st trip.

Hi, Connie!  Disney Mom Kay has been down at Walt Disney World with her three year old grandson, and she has been reporting back to us about the trip!  She can't say enough good things about how wonderful Mickey's Backyard Barbecue is, especially for her adorable little grandson!  There is a lot of music, singing and dancing, and the kids get up and join in the fun - it's really a good time for the whole family.

The Hoop Dee Doo is a show full of slapstick fun and music, but most of the jokes are lost on children so young.  Your daughter will probably enjoy the music, but will not "get" the jokes.  Having said that, my oldest daughter loved the music at this show, and at age 3, laughed because everyone else was laughing.  She enjoyed the show much more than my other two daughters did at that age.

I don't usually recommend the Spirit of Aloha dinner to my friends and family with children this age.  The first part of the show is a bit of a story telling about the history of Polynesia, and the second half of the show features traditional Polynesian dancing and music.  There isn't a whole lot to keep the youngest children occupied or interested - although if your daughter would enjoy the music and dancing, she might sit just fine through the show.  I just know that my girls at this age got a little bored.

I hope you have a wonderful first trip with your daughter!
