Our daughter is working at Disney as a CP and we are going to visit her over Easter. She works at the Carribean Beach Resort and we thought we'd stay there. I'm reading mixed reviews so I was wondering if you could suggest a better choice? Epcot is my fav.

    Hi Lori,

We stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort many years ago and was not a big fan at first. It is quite large and spread out and was hard at first to learn our way around. We have since returned there two more times and really enjoy the resort now. The rooms have just recently been refurbished and all of them are now designed with a Finding Nemo or Pirates of the Caribbean theme. The CBR also recently finished a refurb on its pool and it is a wonderful area now with an adorable pirate ship splash pool. The resort features areas perfect for a stroll or relaxing moment and if you do not mind the size of the resort, you will love the peaceful feel to the resort.

Another thought though involves your love of Epcot. Although the CBR is considered an Epcot resort, it is a fifteen or so minute bus ride to the park. There is another Epcot resort area that is within walking distance to the World Showcase. If you were to walk out the back entrance of Epcot (located in between England and France) you will find a number of exquisite resorts that is my family's favorite place to stay. The resorts are the Boardwalk, the Yacht Club and the Beach Club. All of the properties are deluxe hotels so you will find them priced slightly higher than Caribbean Beach. The resorts are also part of the Disney Vacation Club so depending on availability, you would have the option for larger accomodations here in one of their viilas. The location of these resorts is fantastic as you can also reach Disney's Hollywood Studios by a walking path or short boat ride. There is a great deal of activities, nightlife and restaraunts found in this area and we love the ease of being able to walk into Epcot for a late dinner or to catch Illuminations. You can find additional information on these three properties at www.disneyworld.com under Discover and choose Deluxe hotels. I am sure you will love any of these three locations.

    Have a great time!
