My daughter & I are going to WDW Jun7-11 for grad trip staying on property. We have 5 day park hoppers & buying single LL's. We are EE/rope drop locals @ DL. Looking for advice and strategy on what parks each day / LL & EE 1st rides.

Hi Beth, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation! I can’t think of a better place to celebrate such an important moment in her life than Walt Disney World Resort!

Let’s start with which parks to visit on each day. Crowd levels can fluctuate each day, so that’s hard to predict. However, an important consideration is park hours. Magic Kingdom Park is open one hour later on June 8 and 10, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is open for an extra hour on June 9 and 11. My recommendation would be to prioritize those parks on the days when they’re open a little later to give you more time to enjoy the attractions.

Now, let’s talk about Lightening Lane passes and Early Entry! Based upon your question, it sounds like you'll purchase Lightning Lane Single Passes but perhaps will not opt for Lightning Lane Multi Passes. I’m going to make my suggestions based upon that understanding, so here’s what I would recommend in each park:

Magic Kingdom Park - TRON Lightcycle / Run is very popular, so this is a great one to purchase LL Single Passes because it is not available during Early Theme Park Entry. You might also consider purchasing them for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train because it has consistently longer wait times compared to other attractions. However, that would also be a great attraction to rope drop during Early Theme Park Entry. If you purchase LL Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain is the best option for Early Theme Park Entry.

EPCOT - Without question, I find LL Single Pass to be an excellent option for Guardians of Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It will be a huge timesaver because this ride is a fan favorite! You could try this for Early Theme Park Entry, but that’s also where most people will be dashing first thing in the morning. My recommendation for Early Theme Park Entry is Frozen Ever After. It's also extremely popular and has consistently longer wait times, so you’ll find the shortest waits early in the morning. I would not recommend Test Track or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure for Early Theme Park Entry because they both have Single Rider options, so that is a better strategy later in the day if lines are longer.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios - While LL Single Pass is available for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you may also find shorter wait times close to park closing as a second strategy. For Early Theme Park Entry, my recommendation is Slinky Dog Dash. The second option would be Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets since this is newly debuted and quite popular right now.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Avatar Flight of Passage is an absolute can’t-miss attraction for me, so I highly recommend LL Single Pass. For Early Entry, the two best options are Flight of Passage (because you’ll want to ride more than once!) and Expedition Everest.

In addition to Early Theme Park Entry, I recommend hitting some of the popular attractions in the last 30 minutes each park is open. I’ve had some luck finding shorter wait times late at night. If you decide to also give Lightning Lane Multi Pass a try, I'd love to give you recommendations for what to choose in each park, but that’s an entirely different discussion and more than I have room to fit here!

Beth, I hope this helps you make a game plan for your upcoming visit! If you have any more questions, be sure to come back and see me. I’m here to help add extra pixie dust to your vacation planning!

    Your pal,
    Casey
