    My daughter wants to celebrate her 15th birthday on the disney dream. Which is the nearest airport to port canaveral? We are flying from San Francisco, Ca or Los Angeles, ca.

    What an awesome way to celebrate a birthday! My daughter will turn 15 on our cruise next month. I will be bringing some fun birthday decorations and magnets to attach them to our stateroom door and walls.

    The easiest airport to fly into for a Disney Cruise Line vacation is the Orlando International Airport. You are able to take Disney Cruise Line transportation from the airport to Port Canaveral for a fee of $35 per person. This needs to be booked online before you arrive. This transportation is only provided on the departure day of a cruise.

    If you are like me, and worry about traveling, you might choose to arrive the day before your cruise sets sail. If you do this, you have a couple of options. You can stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport and then use the DCL transportation in the morning. Another option is to rent a car at the airport and arrange to drop it off near Port Canaveral. Then, you can drive and stay at a hotel near the port. It is about an hour from the airport to Port Canaveral, and it is nice to not have to make that drive in the morning. You also might consider staying at a Walt Disney World Resort the night before and then taking the DCL bus from your resort.
