My daughter and I are visiting in July 09 and I am trying to decide between staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge and the Wilderness Lodge. What do you think?

These are two of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts, so I'd be hard pressed to choose between the two as well.  You don't say how old your daughter is, but I know all three of my girls - ranging in age from four to almost 18 - love Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Not only is the Lodge home to an extensive collection of museum quality African art, having the animals right outside your door is an awesome experience for anyone.  Even if you are not booking a savannah view room, you can head out to the savannah at any time - even borrowing night vision goggles - to get a glimpse of a passing giraffe or zebra.

We also enjoy the African story tellers and the two restaurants at Animal Kingdom - Boma and Jiko.  They usually have children's activities planned throughout the day as well.

As much as I love Wilderness Lodge, I don't know of another experience quite like the one you get at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I think I would give that a slight edge over the beauty of Wilderness Lodge.
