My daughter will be just over 3 when we visit. I would really like to take her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi boutique, but she has short, very fine hair. The pictures I have seen are little girls with long hair. Will this be a total waste of my time and money?

Hi Teresa! The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a favorite of my daughter! I took her to the Boutique for her first princess makeover when she was about the age of your daughter, and I think I was just as excited about it as she was. My daughter wears her hair in a short chin-length bob, and like you, I worried if it would be too short to be styled at the Boutique. I was amazed that the Fairy Godmothers In Training were able to coax it into a high bun on the top of her head by using a lot of gel. In addition to that style, little princesses can also choose one that adds hair pieces -- the Fairy Godmothers in Training just work with the hair on the very top of the girls' head and pin long cascading curls on. My daughter tried this style on her last visit, and really enjoyed having long hair for the day. While we were at the Boutique, I saw other princesses with hair even shorter than my daughter's and the Fairy Godmothers in Training were making buns just using the hair above their ears, so they definitely can style all lengths of hair. Now, as to whether it's worth the time and money to visit the Boutique with short hair? That's a personal decision, but in my opinion a trip to the Boutique is more about the experience than the resulting hairstyle. My daughter loves being called "Princess" and being pampered. In addition to the hairdo, the makeover includes makeup, nail polish (depending on the package you choose), a crown or hair accessories, and a sash, so you do receive more for your money than just the hairstyle. I think you should give it a try!
