    My daughter will be 12 when we visit in June of 2013. I was wanting to know if she will be considered an adult on the DDP? Also, if she is, does she HAVE to choose off the adult menu or will she be allowed to choose from the childrens menu.

    Hi Katrina! My 13-year-old son loves that Disney considers him an adult, but it's rare that he wants to eat grown-up food. Thankfully the restaurants at Walt Disney World are very accommodating of picky eaters, and anyone who prefers the food from the children's menu is welcome to order from it instead of the adult menu. 

    Obviously, the cost of a child's meal is much cheaper than the cost of an adult meal at Disney, so using your daughter's adult dining plan to pay for kids' meals is not the most cost-effective use of her meal credits, although a few restaurants may give her an adult-sized portion of the kiddie meal. At  non-buffet restaurants, you may want to consider asking the server if you can pay for your daughter's kiddie meal out-of-pocket instead of using her dining plan credit. Then, other adults in the family could use her adult credits toward their more expensive meals.
