    My Daughter is a Vet and purchased our Disney World tickets but will no longer be able to attend the trip there to the amusement parks. Will that impact me at the entrance?

    Hi Darlene,

    First, I am so grateful for your family. Thank you for raising a daughter who signed up to serve our country, and we owe your daughter a debt of gratitude for her service. It is a pleasure to help the families of our men and women in uniform with your magical vacation. 

    It sounds to me like your daughter has confirmed that she is an Eligible Service Member under the terms of the Disney Military Salute theme park ticket program and has purchased specially priced theme park admission for you and your family. If she is no longer joining you on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I am sorry to share with you that it could impact you.

    Once a Disney Military Salute theme park ticket is purchased, it must be "Activated" at any Guest Relations location around Walt Disney World Resort. Simply put, the Eligible Service Member must present a valid US Military ID before entering a first theme park. They can activate up to six Disney Military Salute theme park tickets in 2024.

    For you, that means that if your daughter is in the Walt Disney World Resort area before your visit, she could swing by and complete this first step before you arrive. Unfortunately, if not, then your theme park admission will not be accepted.

    There is one exception: if your daughter purchased the Disney Military Salute theme park tickets through the Attractions Ticket Office at Shades of Green, the Resort hotel open exclusively to US Service Members and their families at Walt Disney World Resort, those theme park tickets will arrive activated. Your daughter and Guests are free to bypass the Guest Relations window and begin enjoying your practically perfect Disney Day upon arrival at those magical gates. 

    I know that is not the answer that you were hoping for, Darlene. If this shift in plans means that you must check out alternative theme park admission, check out the current Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers available. Maybe one fits your family like the most beautiful glass slipper.
