    My daughter will be turning 3 on our up coming trip. We are purchasing a dining plan for our trip. How will that work when she turns 3? Will we have to purchase her meals separately once she turns 3? Thanks!!

    Hello Michael!

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   I am thrilled to hear you are planning a magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.   What a load of fun and adventure you will enjoy.  I hope you have the best trip ever.   It's my pleasure to be able to help you out today.

    I have some fabulous news for you.   The age of your daughter at the beginning of your trip will be the age that Disney will consider her for the entire trip even if she turns three in the middle of your vacation.   If she is two years old on the day you check in and start your vacation package she will be considered two for the entire visit.   So you will not need to purchase one of the Disney Dining Plans for her.   She can simply share off an adult plate.   At buffet meals you can make her a small plate of her own.   If you feel she needs more to eat you certainly can pay out of pocket for the meals you think she would need.   You will not need to have the Disney Dining Plan purchased for her once she turns three.  Please be sure to grab her a Happy Birthday button when you check in,  it is sure to bring lots of smiles and well wishes her way throughout the trip.   My kids love visiting during their birthdays, especially when the Cast Members make such a fuss over them.
