My daughter will have just turned 3 when we go on our 1st cruise. I'm nervous to send her to the oceaneer club that alllows kids up to age 10. Are they seperated in any way? I was trying to avoid the nursery because of the extra expense.

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question!  I understand your concern over sending your princess into an area with a wide range of ages.  Although there will be older children present, there are usually four activities happening at once that cater to the various age groups.  For example, while your little one is enjoying "Dress Up Fun," the older crowd might be doing a craft or Wacky Relay Races.  The youth counselors do an excellent job of planning activities for the different groups, and the Imagineers did a fantastic job planning the spaces that appeal to these different groups.  I think you will find your daughter to be in good hands and surrounded by lots of other little princesses her age while she is checked in.  You will be able to know which activities are planned by reading your Personal Navigator, your cruise newsletter, each day.  Bring along a highlighter to mark the activities that interest her most so you know she will be engaged while she is there.

I definitely recommend visiting the youth spaces once you board the ship.  The first few hours are dedicated to an Open House where you can check out the facilities as a family and speak with the youth counselors about your concerns.

I hope this information helps ease your nervousness. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions you may have while planning for your magical voyage!

    Have a wonderful day!
