Hello, Lori! It's always nice to see a fellow resident of the Keystone State here at planDisney. Welcome!
I'm glad to hear your daughter plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort with her sorority sisters. I visited recently with my college-aged son, and even though he's not a wide-eyed youngster anymore, it's nice to see that he'll never be too old for Disney! Kids this age may be on a more restricted budget, but they still know how to have fun.
So, first things first, if you want to visit a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, you'll need a theme park ticket and a Park Pass Reservation for the same date. Once she buys her ticket for January 15, she'll be able to make her
Park Pass/ theme park reservation; I recommend checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. Before proceeding, your daughter will also need to link her theme park tickets to her
My Disney Experience account (this is where your Walt Disney World Resort plans are stored and managed), and she will probably want to create a
Family & Friends list to plan with her friends.
Park Passes are held in three categories — Annual Passholders, Guests staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, and those only with existing individual theme park tickets. As of this writing, all the theme parks are currently available for her dates, but you'll want to be quick, as the Park Passes are limited in number and subject to availability. Once confirmed, her Park Pass will appear in My Plans on My Disney Experience, and she'll be able to scan into the Park using either a MagicBand or by using her cell phone with
Disney MagicMobile Service.
I realize that unless you are a regular visitor, Lori, this may be a lot to digest all at once. If you need more help at any time, please feel free to write back! We want to make sure your daughter is happy and making memories, walking down Main Street, U.S.A!
Sincerely,
Eean
