Hello, Mariana! Thank you for taking the time to send in your question to planDisney. I'm happy to help!
It sounds like you are planning the ultimate trip to The Happiest Place on Earth next month! The most important thing to know is that diabetes won't prevent your daughter from having a magical time. Nutritional information for menus is unavailable online, so I suggest contacting the
Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@disneyland.com a couple of weeks ahead of time. They can help you plan your meals when you visit. However, they may not be able to give you exact carbohydrate counts. When dining at table service locations, you can ask if a chef or manager is available to come out and talk to you about your options. Also, you are welcome to
bring your own food and snacks into the parks.
The theme parks have places for guests who have medical needs. When you're in
Disneyland Park,
First Aid can be found next to the Baby Care Center at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. At
Disney California Adventure Park, First Aid is located by the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. They offer a private place for you to test your blood sugar, take insulin shots, and manage your insulin pump. Remember that your Mouseketeer's insulin requirements may go up or down from the exercise and adrenaline. You can store any medicine that needs to be kept cool in the First Aid refrigerators. However,
lockers are available for rental if you prefer to manage things yourself and need to bring a cooler or a larger backpack. See the
Disneyland Property Rules for details.
I hope this helps, Mariana! Have a "SPOOK-tacular" time!
