Is there a way for my daughter that is in my stateroom to have her own app that shows our upcoming reservations like my app does?

Welcome to planDisney, Catherine! Thanks so much for sailing by with your great question.

Yes, your daughter can absolutely use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to view your family’s cruise details! The specific features she’ll be able to access just depend on her age.

If she’s 13 or older, she can create her own Disney account and log into the app just like you do. I recently set this up for my 17-year-old son, and it worked perfectly! Once she signs in and adds your cruise reservation number, she’ll be able to see your upcoming sailing details, including dining, activities, and plans for your family. When she connects to the ship’s complimentary DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi, the app will automatically switch into “onboard mode,” and she’ll be able to see all your scheduled activities in real time. Guests under 18 won’t be able to view the stateroom account balance, but they’ll have access to everything else.

For kids under 13, the experience is a little different. They can still download and use the app, but cruise details won’t appear until you arrive at the port and connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi. Once onboard, here’s what to do:
        1.    Make sure the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is downloaded on her device before you leave home.
        2.    Connect to the DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi once onboard (it’s free to use for app functions).
        3.    When prompted, enter her name, birthdate, and stateroom number to link her to your reservation.

From there, she’ll be able to view your family’s activities and dining rotations, though for safety reasons, she won’t be able to book or modify anything.

If she’d like to use the Onboard Chat feature (which I think is one of the handiest parts of the app!), the primary guest will just need to grant permission by generating a unique PIN from their own app. It’s such a great way to stay in touch with your family while you’re off exploring different parts of the ship.

My fellow planDisney alumni friend Tracie actually wrote a wonderful answer about this topic last year that you might find helpful, too, and it includes a few extra tips about setting up the Navigator app for families.

I hope this helps you and your daughter get all set for your magical voyage, Catherine!

    Sea ya real soon,
