Hi, my daughter will be 15 soon and we are planning a trip to Disney world in July. She would like to take pictures in her quinceañera dress in front of the Cinderella castle as that is her all time favorite princess, is this a possibility?

    Welcome, Paula!

Oh Paula, what a special time for you and your daughter!

The official rules state that costumes may not be worn by anyone 14 years or older. As long as your daughter's Quinceañera dress does not resemble a costume, she should be absolutely fine to wear it to the parks. I just know you will get the most amazing photos, especially with the iconic Cinderella Castle in the background.

If there is any question in your mind about if her dress is too similar to a princess dress, I would simply pack a change of clothes, perhaps a shorter dress that she may change into but would still look amazing for pictures. Don't forget that July is going to be HOT, so I would also pack something to wear after the pictures are done.

Paula, have you heard about the Capture Your Moment photography sessions? These are dedicated 20-minute long sessions with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer. You can then download all of the fabulous photos with your Memory Maker.

I have personally seen some amazing results from these sessions, as the photographers know the best-hidden spots, and even some tricks to get photos without people in the background. Simply head over to the website to book.

I just know that you will have the most magical time. Come back here if we can help you figure out where to play, stay, or dine while celebrating this special occasion.

Sending lots of magical wishes your way.
