Welcome aboard, Yvonne! Sailing on the
Fantasy this fall will be a welcome escape from the chilly temperatures back home, and a perfect excuse to enjoy some Mother-Daughter time with your little princess! In fact, my 11 year-old daughter and I just returned home from our own Mother-Daughter cruise with Disney this past week and had the most wonderful adventures!
I highly recommend packing some pre-packaged snacks for your daughter to enjoy while on your
Port Adventures. Stock up on her favorites at home and toss them in your suitcase. In the various cruise ports, Customs does not allow guests to bring food off the ships, so you won't be able to take anything from the restaurants or room service, or you can incur heavy fines. However, if you have unopened pre-packaged snacks, you can certainly throw those in your day bag to take with you. Plan to have a later breakfast at
Cabanas onboard that day, so she's well fed right before you leave for your big adventures, then bring out the snacks throughout the trip as she needs them. Depending on your adventure, you might also have the opportunity to buy treats or a meal on stops during your adventure, so bring along some cash for that too. Most of the ports accept U.S. dollars or credit cards.
Once your adventure is over, either head back to the ship for lunch or take the opportunity to dine at a local restaurant where you can introduce her to some different local flavors and take in the culture of the area! You ladies are in for a really special trip! Have so much fun planning, and please stop back with more questions as you count down to your sail date. We're happy to help!
