    My daughter is running the Star Wars Dark Side 5K as a charity runner for Autism Speaks. Will she need to pick up her packet at the expo or will it be sent to her in advance by the charity?

    Hi Andrea!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How wondEARful for your daughter to not only be running in the Star Wars 5K, but also for a cause that is important to her!

    Regardless of whether registration was completed directly through runDisney, one of the charity groups or one of the travel providers, bib pick up follows the same process. She will pick up her bib and shirt at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. She will need to print out her waiver and bring it with her to collect her bib! While they have not been posted yet, they will be under the Runner Info tab where it says Waivers once they are released. 

    If Autism Speaks is near and dear to her, I'd recommend looking for the BeeCause Sneaker Charms at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. While they haven't released the vendors yet, they've been at most of the runDisney races I've attended and they sell little charms that you can attach to your running shoe through the shoe laces. My best friend that I have ran with in the past purchased one that was the Autism puzzle piece and she wears it for every race! When she gets exhausted just a quick glance down is instant motivation. Just a cute memento to help her commemorate the weekend.
