Hello Lauren!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I would like to be the first to congratulate your daughter on running the Walt Disney World Marathon, during the
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. What an amazing accomplishment and one you surely need to celebrate. A full marathon is one item still on my bucket list, but when I do fulfill it, it will be at Walt Disney World during a
runDisney event.
Lauren, cheering on your runner is a very important part of their success and I am so happy you are going to cheer on your daughter. You certainly can be at the finish line when she crosses, this will be located at
Epcot near the monorail entrance. You will see signs and many Cast Members and volunteers will be available to point you in the right direction. As for the start of the race, that is trickier. The race begins near Epcot but at a different spot from the finish that only runners can get to. My suggestion is that you cheer her on along mile 8 and 9 near the Ticket and Transportation Center near
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You could have a snack ready or an encouraging sign to keep her motivated and then still have plenty of time to make it to the finish line. It would be a great idea to check out the
event map and plan your spectator spots accordingly.
I hope this has helped Lauren. If you think of anything else we can help you with before you depart on your journey, please let us know. It's always fun to help a fellow Guest.
Dream as Dreamers Do,
Jen
