My daughter is VERY picky. We have learned not to bother ordering for her at most restaurants if there are no chicken nuggets or pizza... We feed her prior to going to the restaurant but will we still have to pay for her if she only has a drink or dessert?

Hi Jessica! My son is a picky eater too, and like you, we often visit restaurants where he just watches us eat because nothing on the menu appeals to him. Thankfully, the restaurants at Disney World really cater to children, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that many of them will have your daughter's favorite foods available. If nothing on the menu appeals to her, ask the server if other options are available. My son has frequently been able to order his favorite meal, a grilled cheese sandwich, at most Disney restaurants even when it's not on the menu.

If your daughter ends up ordering only a drink or dessert at a table-service restaurant, then you'll be charged only for those items. However, at dinner shows, buffets, or fixed-price meals, you pay a set price for each person in your party. At those types of restaurants, you'll be charged the full-price for your daughter, no matter how little she eats. The buffets at Disney World have so many options; even my picky son finds plenty to eat and I bet your daughter will too. If you have questions about the children's or adults' menus at any of the restaurants, feel free to ask me!

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
