Hello Sarah and welcome to planDisney!
If your heart is set on
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, let’s make sure you get what your heart desires!
Sarah, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a 5th sleeper room that should fit your family fine if that room type has availability. The 5th sleeper is a Murphy bed that pulls down from the wall underneath the television set and is the perfect size for one of the smaller travelers in your family. That will leave the two queen sized beds for the other four members of your party. So, if your mother doesn’t mind bunking with one of the other members of your family, a group of five will definitely fit in one of the 5th sleeper rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort!
Sarah, when I was at Caribbean Beach recently, I talked with a Cast Member at the reception desk about the 5th sleeper rooms. The Cast Member told me that when there is a group of five people listed on the reservation, they will get the fifth sleeper room. It is also good to put a note in your reservation to confirm your need for the fifth sleeper and that a
phone call to reservations for a Cast Member to add this information would also be helpful.
On my recent stay at Caribbean Beach, I was in a preferred room in the Martinique section and I had a 5th sleeper in my room. I absolutely loved the location of my room in a quiet corner of the resort! Martinique has its own leisure pool, just like four others at the other villages, but is also still within easy walking distance to the main
Fuentes del Morro Pool. I also enjoyed the convenience of choosing the Disney Skyliner station at Disney’s Riviera Resort which is about equal to the distance from the Caribbean Beach station.
Martinique was also the first complimentary Disney bus station stop to load the bus on the way to the theme parks. This was a major benefit to having the first choice of seats since the bus does stop multiple times throughout the resort to pick up additional Guests before it makes its way to the theme parks. Coming home at night Martinique is the first stop for drop off so that is another added benefit after a long day at the parks!
Sarah, I highly recommend
Sebastian’s Bistro for at least one meal during your stay at Caribbean Beach! It is one of the hidden gems at Walt Disney World, and the food and service is spectacular!
Sarah, have a great trip with your family and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
