Hello, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question for the Panel. I see that you're planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort in October. How wonderful! I love the festive fall décor around the parks and resorts during October.
I'm allergic to some tree nuts, so I'm always careful when ordering at any restaurants. I'm happy to let you know that Walt Disney World Resort is committed to offering a wide range of culinary options for Guests with
special dietary requests. Most quick-service and table-service locations at Walt Disney World Resort can accommodate common food allergies and intolerances such as eggs, fish, gluten, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.
For your daughter's specific food allergies, I would recommend contacting a Cast Member at
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com before your visit. The Special Diets Team will be able to let you know which locations are able to accommodate her needs and can help you navigate
dining at Walt Disney World. As a reminder, specific dietary restrictions or allergies should always be communicated when arriving at a restaurant. All Guests have the opportunity to speak with a chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member before dining.
If you have not already researched
special dietary requests on disneyworld.com, I would suggest doing so. Please be aware that Disney "uses reasonable efforts in our food sourcing, preparation and handling procedures to avoid the introduction of the named allergens into your menu choices. While we take steps to prevent cross-contact, we do not have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and are unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens." Also, "most Disney table-service and major quick-service restaurant locations offer allergy-friendly menus or allergy guides to address common allergies and intolerances."
Jennifer, please let us know if we can assist you with any other questions before your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall.
Have a magical day!
Bob
