Hello there, Karen! Sending you magical greetings from sunny California and a big "Welcome Home" from all of us at planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question to us.
First, I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to your daughter for her service to our country. It sounds like she's earned some well-deserved magic! The Walt Disney Company proudly salutes active and retired US military personnel with
special offers on theme park tickets. It’s their way of saying "thank you" for their incredible dedication.
It sounds like your daughter had a change of heart, realizing that four days of Disney magic are even better than three (and I wholeheartedly agree—the more, the merrier!). Let's see if we can make this ticket transfer as smooth as a boat ride on “it’s a small world”.
The good news is that transferring the 3-day ticket to her brother should be possible, with a few important considerations. First, the 3-day ticket must be completely unused. If your daughter has already used any of the days on the ticket, it will be linked to her and cannot be transferred. Your daughter, as the eligible service member, will also need to be present with her brother when he uses the transferred ticket. She'll need to show her valid US military ID at the park entrance, as these special promotional tickets are exclusively for our valued service members and their families.
It’s also important to remember that eligible service members can purchase up to six
Military Promotional Tickets (one of which must be used by the service member or their spouse). Alternatively, if your daughter happens to be a
Disneyland Magic Key holder, she could purchase up to five promotional tickets and use her Magic Key pass for her own entry.
The very best way to transfer the ticket is to have your daughter call the dedicated
tickets support line. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist with changing the name on the ticket. Once they’ve worked their magic, the ticket will be all set for her brother to use! With that done, your daughter can purchase her additional 4-day ticket at her military base ticket office. Just be sure she also books
park reservations for each day of her visit—these are almost as important as the ticket itself!
And finally, a little extra tip for your daughter's next visit to the ticket office: She might want to consider a ticket that includes
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This fantastic feature is like having your own personal Genie, granting wishes for shorter wait times by letting you use the Lightning Lane entrance at select attractions. It's a wonderful way to maximize the magic and minimize the waiting, especially for popular rides like
Space Mountain (one of my personal favorites!).
It's been a pleasure assisting you, Karen, and we at planDisney are so grateful for your daughter's service! We hope this information helps create a truly magical and memorable Disneyland Resort experience for her and your family. Please reach out again if you have any further questions—we're always here to help!
